Povlja is a small resort located deep in the cove of the island of Brac.

The largest old Christian basilica on the island of Brac is located here, as well as some of the more valuable historical monuments such as “Povaljska listina” (the oldest preserved relic of the kind, written in our language in Cyrillic) and “Povaljski prag” (the oldest and most significant epigraph written in Croatian in Cyrillic). The place is surrounded by numerous coves with various beaches. Some of the most beautiful coves are Travna, Smokvica, Ticja Luka and Tatinja. Povlja is an ideal place for families with children, as well as for those who wish to spend their vacation in peace and quiet. Enjoy walking along the long promenades, Dalmatian specialties, cultural sites and numerous coves. Sports and recreation fans can enjoy diving, football, gondola rides, kite-surfing and sailing.
